Summary

This at-will position reports to the Director of Sales.

The Business Development Representative role is the first point of contact for many of our new customers.  BDR’s are energetic and hard working individuals with strong communications skills and a healthy desire to compete. This position responsible for seeking out new business ideas and developing them for the growth of the organization.

This position has a direct impact on ResMan’s “top of the funnel” activity and will create a high volume of prospect engagement, and most first contact with prospective clients and engaging in marketing activities and campaigns to build relationships.

 

Essential Responsibilities:

The core duties and responsibilities of the Business Development Representative include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Manage a high volume of outbound calls daily to cold & warm prospects
  • Quickly assess the quality of a prospect to determine the viability of the sales opportunity
  • Set up product demonstration appointments for the Sales team
  • Achieve monthly metrics and weekly targets
  • Build Strong networks in and outside the organization
  • Collaborate with the team to develop better solutions to ResMan processes
  • Utilize Salesforce and HubSpot to create and execute campaigns

 

Requirements:

  • Preferred knowledge of multi-family housing
  • Preferred domain knowledge of Conventional, Insurance, Accounting, and Budgeting software applications for multi-family housing
  • Make a high volume of phone calls daily (100+ dial target)
  • Efficient in computer and software skills for research, documentation, and information management
  • Confident, enthusiastic phone personality
  • Ability to educate prospects in a consultative manner
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Resilient to consistent rejection and dial tones
  • Ability to gather information verbally and in writing
  • Reliable, strong and positive work ethic
  • Strong organization and time management skills and ability to work independently
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience may be accepted
  • Proficient skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience in B2B Cold Calling, sales or business development
  • Proven ability to achieve and exceed personal quotas and goals
  • Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation
  • Professional communication skills and ability to connect with IT business leaders
  • Positive attitude towards work, teammates and working with colleagues in other departments
